Part-Time Frontend JS Developer

Salary: £18/hour

We are looking for someone who is eager to kick-start their career as a frontend JS developer with a part-time role at a growing scientific company in Sheffield. Working with our team of SEO experts and designers, you will help build new storefront features, improve user experience, and optimise our site for performance and search visibility. This role provides an opportunity to learn and grow in a commercial environment and would be best suited to someone with a keen interest in creating high-quality and robust Clean Code.

About the Role

The role will evolve over time, but day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Adding new features to our existing website using modern JS and SCSS
  • Maintaining and updating our existing codebase to improve code quality
  • Optimizing website performance to improve our technical SEO compliance
  • Working with the design team to improve the look-and-feel of the website
  • Troubleshooting and debugging website issues and handling edge cases
  • Managing version control through Git and keeping a detailed changelog

Product Development Electrochemist

Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience

Our Sheffield headquarters are easily accessible from the M1 via the Sheffield parkway and from Sheffield train station via the number 52 bus service. We are also only a short walk away from Woodbourn Road and Attercliffe tram stops.

On-site parking is free, and we have cycling facilities including a shower and secure storage.

The main entrance to Solpro Business Park is on Windsor Street, just off Attercliffe Road (there is no access from Princess Street). Our reception can be found in the Northern Block of the business park at the end of Windsor Street.
